Bingo 101 Yono, Indian Bingo 101 and the Z APK: one name, several apps

· checked by Yamini Bhorkar

"Bingo 101 Yono", "Indian Bingo 101", "Ind Bingo", "Bingo 101 Z" and "Spin 101" are not versions of one app. They are at least five different products from different publishers, and only one of them — the file on the brand's own site — is the real-money Bingo 101. "Yono" is a label listing sites attach to a whole family of Indian card and slot apps; it does not mean the brand's file.

Bingo 101, file by file

What does "Bingo 101 Yono" mean?

It is a shelf label, not a product name. Listing sites that rank for this name — "Bingo 101 (Yono) Download App", "Bingo 101 Yono APK" — file it alongside dozens of apps they call "Yono games": Jeet Spin, Money Rummy, Joy Rummy, Yono Arcade and so on, each with its own sign-up figure. The Play Store muddies it further: the DROPTI EDUCATION ACADEMY listing titled Bingo 101 calls itself "Yono Rummy" inside its own description, and all three Play publishers using the Bingo 101 name also publish apps with Yono in the title.

So "Bingo 101 Yono" can point to the brand's casino file, to a Play Store coin game, or to a listing site's own download link. The brand's page never uses the word.

Is Indian Bingo 101 the same as Ind Bingo?

No, and neither is the brand's app. Search "Indian Bingo 101 APK" and the results mix the Bingo 101 listings with a separate app called Ind Bingo, carried by Aptoide and Malavida under its own name and pages. Ind Bingo is not mentioned anywhere on the brand's site. If a page sells "Indian Bingo 101" as one thing, it has merged two names to catch both searches.

What is the Bingo 101 Z APK?

The "Z" comes from a different title. The results for "Bingo 101 Z APK" show the Play coin games plus 101z Games Manship, a Softonic listing at version 1.0 that describes "predictive gameplay". It has no link to the brand's site and no Bingo 101 branding of its own. A file sold as "Bingo 101 Z old version" is a catalogue's file under a borrowed name; versions of the brand's own file are covered on the new APK page.

Why do so many apps share the name?

Because the name is searched far more than any one of them is installed. A Play listing called Bingo 101 picks up people who heard the name in an advert, even if it plays offline rummy. A catalogue page called "Bingo 101 Z" picks up people who saw a "Z" in a video title. The cost falls on you: you install the wrong thing, or a page asks for permissions it has no use for.

The fix is the same each time. Before you tap Install, read the publisher; after you install, read the package. If either one does not match what you expected, uninstall and start again from the brand's site.

How do I check which app is on my phone?

Go to Settings → Apps, tap the app in the list, then App details. You will see the package name and version. The three Play coin games use com.dayalingo101.app, com.blgbinogamebysk.app and com.sknex.bingo101app. Catalogue files we found use com.happy.dropp and com.bingo.slots.game. If your app has a cashier and none of those packages, it came from the brand's site.
